A fellow called me and said that he had a running CB400F that he bought three years ago, then disassembled planning a restoration. Well, as things happen, he said that he had run out of interest, and that he had even rented out a storage facility to keep all the parts. As it kept dragging out, he said that it made sense no longer and that he wanted to just get rid of the parts and move on.
I was very skeptical because I knew that shipping those parts, especially the engine and frame would be too expensive. Well, he called me back and said that he was coming to Michigan, and that Columbus was right on the way and he would deliver all the parts--deal I said!
After he delivered them, I offered them as a package to anyone wanting to rebuild a bike. After a couple of months with just tire kickers, I decided to put the frame up on ebay. It sold in just a few days! So now I guess I will just part it out.
The engine is complete with its carburetors. He also had many NOS new parts that he had bought in anticipation of its restoration. Now they are all on my web site, so if you need anything for a CB400F Supersport, please check out my web page.
