As I approach Thanksgiving, we in the Northern Climates know that cold weather is coming. My wife directed me to start a fire in our wood burning stove, and it sure feels good.
As to motorcycles, I am about done working on them. Most of them except my dirt bikes are winterized. I am straightening up my parts inventory and adding some rare items that I had long forgotten that will have significant value to collectors.
I would like to let you know that I am thankful for so many things this season. Family and friends, a roof over my head, and more food than I should be allowed to eat. America is a wonderful country and everyone who lives here is truly blessed to be in the land of the free.
However, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention what I am most thankful of all for—My Savior Jesus Christ. Even though America is the best place on earth, we have so many problems. We live in a broken world, a quick look at any newspaper or media source is likely to show terrible things that we do to our fellow man. Things that we would never have seen 60 years ago as I was growing up. Mankind will never get better, only worse, until God decides that time is up.
It was not always like that. God created a perfect world in Eden, but man chose to reject it and go his own way. We see how far we have gone astray. Yet God sent his Son, Jesus who lived a perfect sinless life but chose to sacrifice it on the cross for anyone who would choose Him as Lord and Savior.
If you are not a Christian I would implore you to seek Him and a Bible believing church close to you. If you have questions about the Christian Life, I am as close to email and telephone to discuss.
Happy Thanksgiving
David
