I loved my 2015 Kawasaki Versys distance bike(pictured at the very end) that I rode for about five years, including several distance rides, but it was a little heavy and a little tippy toe for me. Sold it and here is its replacement that I bought to do my Michigan Lake Huron trip last month-- a 2024 CB300R with only 1600 miles on the clock. It is It is super light, nimble handling with disk brakes and ABS, at 316 pounds with a full tank of gas. Honda claims 71 mpg, my expereince was in the 65 mpg range. Seat height at a comfortable 31.6" for my short inseam. It is peppy up until about 60 mph, then it takes a while to build more speed. It did everything I asked of it comfortably. Other road tests say it will do 90+ mph, but I don't tempt fate that way any more. Stylish and perfect for a 77 year old guy who doesn't need any more WFO riding days.
