Unless you have kept your bike indoors 100% of the time, your original badge is probably warped and discolored.

this is a new badge, a reproduction made in Taiwan.  Good looking the gold is just slightly different shade  than original.  90% of classic owners would probably not be able to tell the difference if you put the pair on.
