New old stock product. Purchased from an old line Multi-Line motorcycle dealer who stocked lots of OEM and high quality replacement parts in the heyday of Japanese imports but is now closed.
This is as close to a showroom condition bike as you can find. It is nearly impossible to take a good picture in the sun without reflections of my house and awning. Then its too dark in the shade to take a good representative picture. At any rate it is absolutely gorgeous. Anyone would be proud to put it on their bike. I would describe its color a two tone silver blue sparking green. The side panels are a gorgeous cream color. I am not a Yamaha expert, but I believe it was a 2001 model called Stardust Silver/Forest Green. Although sometimes it looks like a sparkly blue.
Please investigate for yourself which OEM color combination that might have been. and make sure of its fitment and color choice for your application. Here is a website with some Royal Star information information https://www.venturerider.org/history/rsv99/rsv99colors.php
I think this was probably a new bike warranty replacement. It doesn't appear to ever have gas in it. It has a very slight, 1.5 inch long indentation with a scratch on the clear coat as shown on the pictures. The scratch doesn't even go into the base paint. It is such a slight an imperfection but a dealer taking the bike out of the crate wouldn't want to sell it on a new bike, so Yamaha probably sent them a warranty replacement.
Please ask any questions that you have before ordering, as there is no return of products.
